[Somehow, it was much easier to admit as much aloud to a child than...well, to even Phoenix himself. She hardly even blushed.]

[It was also that much easier to turn the question right around. Not that she was anticipating a real answer. He was only...what, seven? Too young, in her mind, to feel for someone what she felt for Phoenix.]

[How else was he suppose to answer? He knew that liking someone the same way Iris does for Phoenix was suppose to be grown up stuff!

[More or less the answer she had been expecting, which was why she nodded without surprise.]

Why wouldn't I? Everyone's been so nice since I got here! A lot of people said that CERES is bad but I think there are a lot of nice people here too!

So I don't think it's that bad!

Even the games haven't all been terrible. This really is an...interesting place to live.

You know what this place reminds me a lot of? I don't know if you know what the Digital World is but it sure reminds me a lot of it. Where there were a lot of evil Digimon coming and hurting me and my friends?

I don't think it's that much different here!

Is that anything like the ViViD games? That's supposed to be a...world inside a computer, right?

Kind of! Except the monsters in the game are real! That's where Patamon came from! See?

[He said before pointing to said flying potato sitting on the sofa] I still don't really understand it but as long as he's real then that's all that matters right?

They seemed quite real to me inside the game as well.

[Though she would hardly agree with the flying potato's real-ness. He was too cute not to be real.]

Then that's good, I didn't want others to think that they weren't!

[Pause] But I’m just glad that there are a lot more people who are nice here. It’s a lot like the Digital World except there are some evil Digimon there too.

I guess those evil Digimon can be CERES or something like that!

You think CERES is evil?

Kind of? They did take us away from home and we don't know if they're telling the truth!

I don’t want to think of them as bad but I don’t know if they’re good either.

[She offered a sympathetic smile and nod at that. While she, personally, had absolutely no problems with having been taken...especially since it got her out of prison and on her way to reuniting with many dear friends...she also understood that her feelings were almost certainly in the minority.]

[And of course a young child would be upset at having been taken from his family and friends.]

That's as good a reason to be suspicious of them as any.

To be honest...there are times when I'm not so sure myself. This place can be so confusing at times. Wonderful one minute, and frightening the next.

I know! I remember seeing those weird dinosaurs without any faces on and I thought they looked pretty cool! Well, at least until they decided to attack us.

But that was still pretty awesome though!

[But then again, this was the same kid who thought the Digital World was pretty awesome up until he saw Patamon die. Which was why there was a pause from him.]

I wonder...will I ever see any of my friends here.

I'm sure you will. Just give it time, alright?
